In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, the “50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Spain International Culture, Art and Design Exhibition” was held in the afternoon of November 6, local time in the conference hall of the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the University of Girona, Spain, organized by the China Europe International Design and Culture Association (CEIDA) in conjunction with the Committee of the Federation of Schools and Colleges of Girona, Spain. Guests attending the event included Acting Consul General Hu Aimin, Director of the Consular Department Yu Xiaofang, Consul of Education Zhang Yan, and Vice Rector Sara Pagans and Prof. Ronin Su of the University of Girona. Also present were representatives of CEIDA members, some international students, and Sun Xuesong, representative of the organizing committee of the 2nd Quanzhou City “Prickly Tong Cup” International Design Competition.

In his opening speech, Acting Consul General Hu Aimin encouraged all the international students to study hard and exercise more, to maintain a healthy body, and to return home to serve the country; at the same time, they should also participate in Chinese and Western cultural exchanges and activities, and make friends with the local people, so as to build a bridge for friendly exchanges among the people. Prof. Luo Ningsu, lifelong professor of the University of Girona and president of the Chinese Association of the University of Girona, said in his speech that the Chinese Association of the University of Girona will provide Chinese students with all the help they need to study abroad, so that they can study with peace of mind and have no worries.
After the opening ceremony, Acting Consul General Hu Aimin and the guests visited the exhibition with great interest, accompanied by the leaders of the University of Girona, and expressed their hope that this kind of exhibition can be held on a regular basis to provide a more diversified platform for the Spanish people to understand Chinese culture. This exhibition will further enhance the Spanish people’s understanding of Chinese culture, and further promote the people-to-people communication between China and the West.
The exhibition will also tour in Beijing, Zhengzhou, Quanzhou, Lanzhou, Jiaxing and other places.
